The Gypsy Horse has been selectively bred by British and Irish Gypsies and Romany people for generations.
The Gypsy travelers use brightly colored flat carts and living wagons, or vardos,
and desired a strong, heavy, docile and showy horse to pull them.
The Shire, Clydesdale,Fresian, and Dales Pony are part of the history of the breed.
The Gypsy Horse is also known as The Gypsy Vanner, Gypsy Cob or Colored Cob.
